What if the warning signs weren't hidden, just scattered and siloed? Through a retrospective Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM) analysis of the 2022 University of Idaho homicides and the recent San Diego Mosque attack, attendees will explore how concerning behaviors, grievances, identity struggles, and escalation patterns emerged long before violence occurred. Presenters will demonstrate a structured, empirically informed approach to case triage and prioritization that helps professionals connect seemingly isolated incidents, identify meaningful patterns of concern, and make more defensible prevention decisions when information is limited. This engaging session highlights how structured BTAM processes, multidisciplinary collaboration, and early intervention can enhance violence prevention efforts across educational, workplace, healthcare, faith-based, and community settings.
